Hi! I’m Robyn.

I’m not your average stylist—instead of pushing you to buy a bunch of new stuff and completely makeover your look, I’m big on leaning into what you already own and love, and then elevating it. Maybe that means styling your existing clothing differently, or investing in a new piece that ties everything together.

Not only is the (re)approach less expensive and more sustainable for our planet, it also results in a more authentic, unique sense of style that’s expressive of you.

My style philosophy and method is inspired by my 15+ years of reading, thinking about, and experimenting with style, and informed by my 8+ years of experience working in the fashion industry as a brand marketer, fit model, and sustainable fashion activist.

So what exactly do I believe in?

  • Getting dressed should be easy and enjoyable

  • Everything in your wardrobe should vibe together*

  • Your clothing should tell a story about who you are and what you value

*This doesn’t mean everything has the match or be the same color!  Just that it’s cohesive.

When it comes to recommending “new” items (meaning, new wardrobe additions), I’m a fan of consignment and vintage because you can find one-of-a-kind pieces that are a better value for your money. I also favor small, independent brands that reflect your values, because, again—their clothing is more unique, and you’re supporting businesses that you believe in.

I stay away from fast fashion and big brands because you end up looking like everyone else, the quality is typically cheap, and their manufacturing practices are usually dubious at best, or outright wrong. No bueno.

In sum, my mission is to show you there’s a better way to shop. Whether you book a Styling session, shop my Wardrobe Essentials, or read my Style Musings, I hope that R. Davies Styling makes it easier to dress like your best self (and do some good, too!).

Xx,

Robyn
